Sericol Receives Queen’s Award for Innovation

Sericol is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Outstanding Innovation category.
Her Majesty the Queen, at the recommendation of the UK Government, presents the Awards to recognise companies that have demonstrated commercial success through innovative products or services.

This is the fifth Queen’s Award won by Sericol since 1988.
The previous awards were presented for excellence in Export, Technological and Environmental Achievement. This latest award recognises Sericol’s groundbreaking work in the development and commercialisation of UV curing inkjet technology in wide format, flatbed digital, graphic printing.

Commenting on the award Ed Carhart,
CEO of Sericol International said,
“ We are very pleased to receive this award as it confirms our leadership in this comparatively new but fast growing area of ink technology.
The introduction of our UV inkjet products is a key element in the development of our business worldwide. The printing industry continues to evolve and needs to constantly adopt new technology. This award also demonstrates the skills and excellence of the Sericol team worldwide”.

The Uvijet range of UV curing inkjet products are developed and manufactured at Sericol’s manufacturing complex in Broadstairs, Kent. Products are supplied to over 80 countries through Sericol’s sales organisations, distributors and print machinery manufacturers.

Sericol employs over 1,200 people worldwide and is the leading manufacturer of speciality UV curing screen, flexo and wide format digital inks.
