Colour Management is the creation, manufacture, control and archiving of colour within a manufacturing process.
Accuracy, reproducibility, simplicity, speed and waste reduction are the key colour management issues for all printing processes. In the optical media industry the demands on a colour management system are complicated by the disc itself.
FUJIFILM Sericol recognised the need for a colour management system years ago and introduced the PANTONE®* Colour Matching System for the screen industry in 1993.Today several full sets of approved colour match formulas for the PANTONE®* 1000 Colour Matching System exist in the Seridisc ink range. Each shade is accurately matched and verified on a printed disc.
